Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner (also known as Sansa Stark) dabbed then chugged a glass of red wine at a Rangers game Tuesday night. She was holding a Juul at the time. Also, this all happened while she was on the Jumbotron.
Turner’s approach, which she displayed at a New York Rangers game on Tuesday night, should be the norm for Jumbotron moments from now on. None of this “waving” or “kiss cam” nonsense — no one wants to see that. People want to see celebrities drinking wine at a rapid pace. That mouth wipe!
Sophie Turner chugging a whole glass of wine on a Jumbotron at a hockey game is the only thing on my vision board
He is the only leader Kazakhstan has ever known since its independence and was its first president. Now, 78-year-old Nursultan Nazarbayev has stepped down in a sudden announcement.
But although Nazarbayev has ended his almost 30-year rule, he has not given up power.
He is keeping the constitutional status of both “leader of the nation” and chief of the country’s security council.
The speaker of the upper house of parliament, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has been sworn in to serve the rest of Nazarbayev’s term which ends in 2020.
Does that signal a shift in this central Asian state? And how is this being viewed, regionally and globally?

Written and executive produced by Kaling, the show will focus on the complicated life of a first-generation Indian-American girl. The leading role is still to be cast, but come through, diverse onscreen representation!
Netflix has ordered a coming-of-age series from @mindykaling about the complicated life of a modern-day first generation Indian American teenage girl, inspired by Kaling’s own childhood. The 10-ep series is co-created by Kaling & @loulielang, who will also serve as co-showrunners pic.twitter.com/AytvniwxXT
She will also serve as the showrunner alongside Lang Fisher. David Miner and Howard Kline are executive producers.
This project for Netflix falls under her recent eight-figure deal with Universal Studios to develop new projects under her production company Kaling International.
It’s been quite a year for Kaling already, and it’s only March. Her film Late Night debuted to critical acclaim at the Sundance Film Festival. Amazon Studios bought it for $13 million and will release it theatrically on June 7.
Kaling is also working with Hulu on an original show, her take on the film Four Weddings and a Funeral. With this untitled Netflix comedy, Kaling is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing comedic voices of our time.

Despite recently being optioned to the minors, top prospect Eloy Jimenez is reportedly close to receiving a long-term contract from the Chicago White Sox.
Per ESPN’s Jeff Passan, Jimenez and the White Sox are finalizing a deal one week before the start of the 2019 regular season.
PerHector Gomezof Z101 Digital, Jimenez’s deal will be for eight years and worth $75-80 million including incentives.
Per Domincan sports reporter Dionisio Soldevila, Jimenez will be guaranteed $42.5 million over six years with two team options for 2025 and 2026.
The White SoxreassignedJimenez to minor league camp on March 14, an indication he wouldn’t make the 25-man roster out of spring training.
Jimenez admitted he was pressing at the plate during camp in an attempt to impress Chicago’s decision-makers.
“I accept it and I’m going to work hard,” Jimeneztold reporters. “I tried to compete. They gave me the chance to be the best player I can be. I tried to do too much. I think that’s why I don’t have the good results.”
There is precedent for MLB teams to sign prospects before they debut in the big leagues. Scott Kingeryreceiveda six-year contract with $24 million guaranteed from the Philadelphia Phillies last March.
In nine games this spring, Jimenez went 4-for-26 with two doubles, one home run and nine strikeouts. The 22-year-old is ranked as the No. 3 prospect for 2019 byMLB.com.
The White Sox acquired Jimenez in July 2017 from the Chicago Cubs for Jose Quintana. He hit .337/.384/.577 with 22 home runs in 108 games between Double-A and Triple-A last season.
The indication from the Federal Reserve to likely pause interest rate increases is sure to please President Donald Trump, who railed against the central bank for its campaign of rate hikes last year. | Justin Sullivan/Getty Images
The Federal Reserve sent a clear signal Wednesday that it’s unlikely to raise interest rates at all this year, a striking change from December when central bank officials judged that two more hikes might be necessary in 2019.
That message is certain to please President Donald Trump, who last year repeatedly bashed the central bank for its steady campaign of rate increases. What bodes less well for Trump is why the Fed downgraded its estimate for rate hikes: expectations of slower economic growth.
Story Continued Below
The Fed did not announce any rate moves on Wednesday.
Fed officials estimate that the U.S. economy will grow at 2.1 percent this year, down from their 2.3 percent prediction in December. That outlook clashes with the optimistic growth forecast put forward on Tuesday by White House economists, who projected that gross domestic product would grow at or above 3 percent for the next five years, citing a pickup in business investment after the recent corporate tax cuts.
The Fed poured some cold water on that front too.
“The labor market remains strong but … growth of economic activity has slowed from its solid rate in the fourth quarter,” Fed policymakers said in a statement after two days of meetings this week. “Recent indicators point to slower growth of household spending and business fixed investment in the first quarter.”
Since the Fed last hiked rates in December, Chairman Jerome Powell and other officials have emphasized that the central bank would be “patient” in judging the need for more increases, citing slowing global growth and trade tensions. They stuck to that mantra on Wednesday.
Still, no Fed officials indicated that they expect the central bank to cut interest rates in the next couple of years.
Notably, Powell has strongly cautioned against reading too much into the Fed’s projections for future rate moves, particularly given officials’ uncertainty about how the economic outlook will evolve. Central bank officials put forward estimates about future rate moves based on the most likely path of the economy but do not individually outline what type of risks might put the economy on a different course.
The Fed also announced a plan to stop shrinking its massive stockpile of Treasury bonds and bundled mortgages, bought in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis to spur growth. That reduction has had the effect of tightening credit conditions, alongside the rate hikes.
The central bank said it would start to slow the pace of its balance sheet reduction in May and then stop shrinking the overall size of its holdings altogether in September. However, it will continue allowing mortgage-backed securities to roll off its balance sheet and move toward its long-term goal of holding a more conventional balance sheet of primarily Treasuries.
Robert Downey Jr. mustache Twitter a very important question.
The Iron Manhimself assembled an elite force of very opinionated Twitter users when he put his fellow Avengers co-stars on blast. With some throwback photos, he called upon the forces of the internet, asking them to settle the debate once and for all — who wore it best?
Some fans immediately jumped into their extremely valid (and slightly thirst-driven) opinions.
For others, though, the competition was getting a little too hairy. So, naturally, the memes started rolling in.
Personally, I think Twitter has got this ALL wrong. You want to know who wore it best out of everyone in the entire MCU? Have you forgotten about cameo legend, Stan Lee?
Netflix to launch a new interactive series called “You vs. Wild.” The 8-episode series is a spinoff of Bear Grylls’ show, “Man vs. Wild.” Viewers will have to choose Grylls’ survival decisions.
Settle in for 25 minutes of Nintendo Switch reveals, folks.
The latest “Nindies” showcase, in which Nintendo highlights upcoming indie releases, is packed with exciting reveals. There’s a Cuphead release for Switch. A Stranger Things game releasing the same day as the third season. There’s also a dog-sledding game called The Red Lantern and oh how I want to play it!!
The most exciting reveal for most, however, comes at the very end: Cadence of Hyrule, a rethinking of the rhythm-based RPG Crypt of the NecroDancer that moves the setting over to Zelda’s homeland. It looks rad. Enjoy.
