When it comes to writing about cars, Stephen King has form.
Christine. Buick 8s. Those trucks that come alive and terrorise people trapped in a rest stop. The list goes on.

Admittedly most of those wouldn’t be vehicles you’d be particularly keen to encounter IRL. But King’s latest invention, which he tweeted about on Sunday, sounds significantly friendlier.
I would like to have a Mood Ring car. On days when I feel depressed, it would be blue. When someone got a better review than me, it would be green. On happy days, it would be all the colors of the rainbow and no cop would give me a ticket.

Well, chances are, we’re not going to have that car anytime soon, so it only seems fair that we should at least get a short story about it.
The idea definitely has the potential for a creepy twist or two.
