First look at Hilda, Harvey, and more in Netflix’s ‘Sabrina’ reboot

Netflix made clear with the trailer for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina that the old Sabrina Spellman can’t come to the phone anymore, and the first images from the show really drive it home. 

If you’re going to give Sabrina the twist of the occult, you might as well commit, and this show is doing just that.

Here’s your first look at our favorite characters – and some intriguing newbies – in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Aunt Hilda (Lucy Davis)

Described in a Netflix release as “nurturing,” “motherly,” and “warm,” Hilda is already our sunny beacon of hope in this show full of spooky shadows.

Aunt Zelda (Miranda Otto)

You may recognize her from an iconic turn as Éowyn “I am no man” of Rohan from The Lord of the Rings, and she’s as proud of her affiliation with the Dark Lord and Church of Night in CAOS. Netflix describes her as “Cain to Hilda’s Abel.” Dark!

Harvey Kinkle (Ross Lynch)

Sabrina’s boyfriend is still “a dreamboat and a dreamer,” and still totally oblivious to what seems like some pretty obvious dark magic surrounding him.

The Weird Sisters (Adeline Rudolph, Tati Gabrielle, Abigail Cowen)

Agatha, Prudence, and Dorcas basically run the Academy of Unseen Arts – the Plastics to Sabrina’s Cady Heron, only they’re all Regina and are extremely powerful. They’re also racist, because they dislike her for being half-mortal. It’s 2018, girls!

Rosalind and Susie (Jaz Sinclair and Lachlan Watson)

Sabrina’s best friends in the mortal world have her back no matter what, even as they go up against forces unlike anything they’ve imagined.

Father Blackwood (Richard Coyle)

The High Priest of the Church of Night and Dean of the Academy of the Unseen Arts (he does it all!) looks like a pretty sinister dude, and he harbors some ideas that aren’t quite in the interest of Sabrina and the rest of the coven.

Nicholas Scratch (Gavin Leatherwood)

Nicholas quickly gravitates toward Sabrina when she joins the Academy of Unseen Arts, and we’re not saying he’s Tristan from Gilmore Girls but also he totally is???

Mary Wardwell/Madam Satan (Michelle Gomez)

Sabrina’s favorite teacher from the mortal world has a bit of an identity crisis; she becomes possessed by the Devil’s Handmaiden Madam Satan and ends up trying to tempt Sabrina into darkness. We’ve all been there, sis.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina debuts Oct. 26 on Netflix.
