This video of a duck family crossing a highway is here to show you that it’s not all bad

We’re not here to tell you that the world isn’t a dark, scary place. 

But, this video will remind you that it’s not all bad, and that people still have great capacity for compassion.

The morning traffic in Auckland, New Zealand was disrupted as a duck mum decided to cross a highway with her ducklings a little before 8 a.m. NZST.  

What could have been a tragedy ended up being the cutest thing ever caught on a highway traffic camera. 

As the mum makes her way onto the carriageway, the cars stop one after one to let her and ducklings pass. 

People were really happy to see that the ducks had crossed safely.

The New Zealand police later escorted the duck family all the way to safety, according to The New Zealand Herald.
