Proving once again that there is nothing good about 2019, the internet woke up Friday morning to the news of Grumpy Cat’s passing, the viral pet known for its resting grouch face.
Grumpy Cat’s owners announced on Friday on Instagram that the cat passed away on Tuesday at the age of 7. The internet reacted by sharing their condolences and memories of the famous feline, starting with Nala Cat, one of Grump Cat’s internet famous pet peers.

Real name Tardar Sauce, Grumpy Cat skyrocketed to fame in 2012 thanks to a Reddit post and never looked back, becoming one of the most popular animals on the internet alongside the likes of Doug the Pug, Lil Bub, and Manny the Frenchie.
